Co-Founder & Chief Scientist
Co-founder and chief scientist, and an associate professor at FESB. Ivo's research centres on aerodynamic shape optimization and CFD — most notably the numerical optimization of Savonius wind turbines, where his work raised the power coefficient well beyond conventional designs.
Naval architect, mechanical engineer and machinist by training, with national and international awards for his research in aerodynamics and optimization. He mentors the FESB Racing Team.
Suosnivač i glavni znanstvenik te izvanredni profesor na FESB-u. Ivino istraživanje usmjereno je na aerodinamičku optimizaciju oblika i CFD — ponajviše na numeričku optimizaciju Savonius vjetroturbina, gdje je koeficijent snage podigao znatno iznad klasičnih izvedbi.
Brodograditelj, strojar i tokar po struci, s domaćim i međunarodnim nagradama za istraživanja u aerodinamici i optimizaciji. Mentor je FESB Racing Teama.
Co-Founder & Engineering Lead
Co-founder and engineering lead. Teo turns CAD models into real, working hardware. At FESB he works in the Rapid Prototyping Lab and was the technical backbone of the FESB Racing Team — mechanical design, FEM analysis, composites and CNC manufacturing.
Equally comfortable at a lathe and at a keyboard, he covers the path from concept and structural analysis through to a finished, machined part.
Suosnivač i voditelj inženjeringa. Teo pretvara CAD modele u stvarni, funkcionalni hardver. Na FESB-u radi u laboratoriju za brzu izradu prototipova i bio je tehnička okosnica FESB Racing Teama — mehanički dizajn, FEM analize, kompoziti i CNC izrada.
Jednako se snalazi za tokarilicom i za tipkovnicom — pokriva put od koncepta i strukturne analize do gotovog, obrađenog dijela.
Co-Founder & Physics Lead
Co-founder and physics lead. Doctor of mechanical engineering and master of physics, Andrej specializes in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and electrochemistry. His doctoral research examined how operating parameters shape the activation of PEM (membrane) electrolyzers — in short, how to turn electricity into hydrogen more efficiently.
At FESB he has taught Physics, Fluid Mechanics, and Electrochemical Devices for energy conversion and storage.
Suosnivač i voditelj fizike. Doktor strojarstva i magistar fizike, Andrej je specijaliziran za termodinamiku, mehaniku fluida i elektrokemiju. Doktorsko istraživanje bavilo se utjecajem radnih parametara na aktivaciju PEM (membranskih) elektrolizatora — ukratko, kako struju učinkovitije pretvoriti u vodik.
Na FESB-u je predavao Fiziku, Mehaniku fluida i Elektrokemijske uređaje za pretvorbu i pohranu energije.
Co-Founder & CFD & Software
Co-founder working across fluid dynamics, CFD and software. For his thesis Drago designed and built a closed-circuit wind tunnel, using genetic-algorithm and CFD optimization to achieve a uniform flow — the rig the team now uses for turbine testing.
Equally at home with CFD simulations and hands-on machining, he also writes much of the code and tooling that ties our work together. Honorary member of the FESB Racing Team for building their aerodynamics wind tunnel.
Suosnivač koji pokriva dinamiku fluida, CFD i softver. Za diplomski je Drago projektirao i izgradio zatvoreni vjetrotunel, koristeći optimizaciju genetskim algoritmom i CFD-om za uniformno strujanje — postav koji tim danas koristi za ispitivanje turbina.
Jednako vješt s CFD simulacijama i obradom na stroju, piše i velik dio koda i alata koji povezuju naš rad. Počasni član FESB Racing Teama jer im je izradio aerodinamički vjetrotunel.
We're based in Split, Croatia, on the Adriatic coast. Our work pairs serious engineering research with a hands-on, practical approach — and the occasional break for a swim. We take the work seriously, not ourselves. Sjedište nam je u Splitu, na obali Jadrana. Naš rad spaja ozbiljno inženjersko istraživanje s praktičnim, hands-on pristupom — uz pokoju pauzu za kupanje. Ozbiljni smo oko posla, ne oko sebe.
